Hermann Teuber (* 12 August 1894 in Dresden; † 24 October 1985 in Munich) was a German painter and graphic artist. At his old place of study, the Dresden School of Arts and Crafts, he began studying under Georg Oskar Erler. He passed the drawing teacher examination for higher education. In 1922 he went to the Berlin-Charlottenburg Art Academy for further training. Initially he was a student of Hans Meid (etching). From 1924 to 1926 he attended Karl Hofer's painting class. He received early recognition through numerous awards. Since 1950, Teuber has been working as a professor for printmaking at the Berlin-Charlottenburg Art Academy, and has received further awards (1951 1st prize in the National Olympic Committee's graphic arts competition for a horse composition; 1953 award of the Cornelius Prize of the City of Düsseldorf; 1954 1st prize in the graphic arts competition of the Friends of Fine Arts, Berlin). During this time, he was particularly interested in colour lithography.
