"Muttertag" (Mother's Day) conveys the summery atmosphere of Mother's Day in a Mediterranean home. Irises dominate the composition. "My artistic roots lie in Impressionism. I have been particularly influenced by the French Impressionists. Nature is my greatest source of inspiration. Today, my work can be viewed as a journey "from Impressionism to Abstraction." Representational and abstract painting now play an equally important role in my artistic practice.

I work primarily with oil, acrylic, and mixed media in a variety of formats. My creative process is characterized by both spontaneous painting and elaborate, multi-layered compositions that evolve through numerous layers.

I began exhibiting my work 20 years ago. Today, my paintings can be found in collections around the world."
