“Summer” is an expressive 90×80 cm oil painting by Patricia Abramovich, capturing the warmth and brightness of the season through her distinctive palette-knife technique.
In this artwork, glowing yellows merge with soft peach and sand tones, while fresh turquoise and deep greens bring contrast and depth. Touches of red and purple add rhythm and intensity.
The diagonal, sweeping movement of the palette-knife strokes evokes a sense of wind, sunlight and shimmering heat — as if the landscape vibrates under summer light. Rich in layers, texture and color, “Summer” reflects Abramovich’s ability to unite emotion, nature and abstraction in a harmonious and vibrant visual language.
Patricia Abramovich was born in Algiers and grew up in Paris, where her early fascination with drawing and color began. She moved to Israel in 1972 and later developed her artistic practice through private studies in watercolor, acrylics, sculpture, and eventually oil painting. In 2007 she discovered her passion for working with palette knives, a turning point that led to the richly textured abstract style she is known for today.
Her oil paintings are characterized by vibrant color fields, layered surfaces, and rhythmic, mosaic-like compositions created through spontaneous knife movements. Abramovich’s visual language evolved through years of dedicated studio work, transforming her intuitive relationship with color into a distinctive artistic signature.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including in New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, Zurich, Miami, Lisbon, and Rome. Notable solo exhibitions include Metamorphosis (2024, ABStudio Gallery, Israel) and No Brush (2014, Ein Hod Gallery). She has also participated in major fairs such as Clio Art Fair (NY), Art Fair Tokyo, KIAF Seoul, and the Contemporary Art Show in Hong Kong with Galerie Bruno Massa.
Abramovich has been featured in several art publications and interviews, including Aesthetica Magazine, ArticulAction, Art of England Magazine, and Everything Is Art. Beyond painting, she has also created fashion designs for institutions in New York, Tel Aviv, and London. She is a member of the Professional Visual Artists Organization in Tel Aviv.
Patricia continues to live and work in Netanya, Israel, developing new bodies of work that deepen her exploration of texture, color, and emotional abstraction.
