Sterling Ruby (born 1972 in Bitburg, Germany) is an American artist living and working in Los Angeles.

Sterling Ruby works multidisciplinary: he creates urethane and bronze sculptures, hallucinatory colour field canvases and handmade ceramics.
The central theme of his work is the conflict between individual desire and social structure and the influence of institutional architecture.
