  • The sculpture consists of three portraits of women. The work is based on the theme “figure in space”.
  • It represents people who are looking for intimacy, but also freedom and space.
  • The women enjoy the first spring sun and have fun with each other.
  • Because of the sun they have closed their eyes so they do not notice that they are being watched.
  • The open attitude of the women expresses confidence.
  • They enjoy the sun and each other without fear of what is going on around them.
  • The image is figurative and executed in a loose touch, while there is still a certain amount of body tension.
  • The statue is darkly patinated after which a part has been treated with wax and a part has been left untreated.
  • This creates a subtle difference in finish.
