Wim van Broekhoven (1955, Dirksland the Netherlands) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tilburg and at the Willem de Kooning Art Academy in Rotterdam.
His field of work lies in the flat field, particularly in drawing and graphic art. Drawing according to a model and observing urban and natural landscapes is a recurring motive.
Themes with narrative and mythological background are rich sources of inspiration for him.
Characteristic of his work are the worked through and layered sheets that have a strong expressive style.
