Anthonie Palamdesz., called Stevers (1601-1673) -  was a Dutch painter renowned for his refined depictions of elegant social gatherings and military scenes. Born in Delft, he was the son of a gem cutter and likely studied under the prominent artist Michiel van Mierevelt. Palamedesz. became a member of the Delft Guild of Saint Luke in 1621 and established himself as a master of genre painting. Palamedesz.'s style reflects the influence of the Dutch Golden Age, combining realism with a keen eye for the subtleties of human interaction. His paintings are now housed in prestigious collections, including the Rijksmuseum and the Louvre.
